What is the situation with intermediaries registered between 1 April 2015 and the date of the FIFA Football Agent Regulations (FFAR) approval?

During the nine-month transition period, which runs from January 9th, 2023 to September 30th, 2023, intermediaries who are currently registered with member associations must obtain a license as a Soccer Agent if they intend to continue providing Soccer Agent Services. They will have two opportunities to take the exam during this period, but can still operate as intermediaries. Member associations will be responsible for both registering intermediaries in accordance with the FIFA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries and participating in the FIFA Soccer Agent Regulations (FFAR) licensing process for Soccer Agents, which replaces the intermediary registration system on October 1st, 2023. During the transition period, obtaining a Soccer Agent license will not replace the need for intermediary registration. After October 1st, 2023, the role of an intermediary will no longer exist, and intermediaries must follow the licensing process and take the exam or apply for a license through the National Law Path.
